Nana and Aunt Anna

After we dropped Grandma and Grandpa off at the airport, we went to Nana and Papa's for a little while. I got to play with my Aunt Anna for a bit, too.

When we got home, I'm not sure who was missing Grandma and Grandpa more, me or Lily! (That's Lily with her head in the doorway of the guest room, where Grandma and Grandpa had stayed for the two weeks they were with us.)

Grandma's Birthday

So, Daddy didn't have to work on Grandma's birthday, which was really nice because he had been working a lot recently and I missed him. We got to play for a while and I had a lot of fun!

We all went out to Red Lobster (thanks Uncle Nick and Aunt Becky) to celebrate Grandma's birthday. Grandma and Grandpa kept fighting over who got to hold me (because I'm so cute and adorable)!

I got to sit on the bed (look how well I'm doing at sitting) and play while Grandma packed. She told me she and Grandpa were leaving the next day, and I was sad. I really enjoyed getting lots of hugs and squeezes and lots of extra attention while they were here.

First Christmas!

So here I was on Christmas morning, surrounded by mountains of presents. I just started sitting up on my own a few days ago, just in time for good pictures in front of our pretty tree. It also made opening presents a lot more fun. I like bows and paper, except when a piece got stuck in my mouth.

I got to open lots of presents, so many that I had to stop and take a nap for a little while, and then eat again, before I could finish!

Later that afternoon, Nana, Papa, and Grammy came to see me, and they brought more presents! And then Uncle Boo and Aunt Lindsay, Aunt Anna, and future Uncle Bryson came to my house with even more presents!!

I had a really great time yesterday, and Mommy wants me to say thank you to everyone for all of the wonderful gifts. I am very lucky to be loved by so many people!

My family, including Lily, in front of our tree.

Nana holding me while I played with tissue paper! It made a fun sound when I moved it!

Family Photo

So last night Mommy and Daddy got all dressed up for a "date". (It was the church choir Christmas dinner, but a night out with out me they call a date, no matter where they are going.) So since they looked so nice, they decided to take a family picture! I think I look pretty cute, if I do say so myself, and Mommy and Daddy look pretty nice too.

Who needs Santa...

I've got Grandparents!!! And now Grandma and Grandpa are here!!! They have been so impressed at how much I've grown, and how I am trying to sit up (still working on that.) They have hardly noticed the fact that I'm still having a hard time sleeping through the night, unlike Mommy and Daddy. I sure am having fun playing with them, when they aren't fighting over whose turn it is to hold me! And they sure do think its pretty neat when I start smiling and laughing!

PJ kind of day

Its a PJ kind of day, so Mommy let me stay in my PJs for a while today. And she finally let me play with my zebra, instead of just sitting it next to me. I am 22 weeks old, and I am finally starting to get some hair!!! It won't be long before I am able to sit up....I can sit on my own for a second now, but every day I'm getting stronger! It won't be too much longer before I start crawling, and then Mommy will really have her hands full!!!

Today was a special day, because I had my very first Christmas pictures taken. I sure am cute!

Tub time is fun time...

...especially now that I can put my foot in my mouth, literally!
I figured out how to suck on my big toe a few days ago, while Mommy was changing my diaper. Now I do it whenever I have a chance (diaper changes and bath time) since I quickly figured out that it's not at much fun to suck when I have my socks on!

Solid foods...not for me

A few weeks ago, Mommy started giving me a little bit of rice cereal a few times a week. I tolerated it, but wasn't overly impressed. Today, she decided to try something she thought I would like (as in she thought it might taste better).

For the record, I'm not a fan of solid foods!!!! Sweet potatoes aren't that sweet!! I clamped my mouth shut, but Mommy kept trying until I put up enough of a fuss.
We all agreed to wait a few more weeks before trying again....I can hardly wait.

Snow!!!

This morning when I woke up, Mommy and Daddy were really excited. They said that it had snowed!! While I'm not exactly sure what snow is, since they didn't let me play in it (they said there wasn't enough to play in). I'm looking forward to it snowing again soon, and a little more, so that I can play in it!

20 Weeks

Today I am 20 weeks old, and I sure am growing fast. I keep Mommy busy during the day, and some at night too. I haven't been sleeping through the night the last few weeks, and I think it is starting to wear on Mommy and Daddy. I just like seeing them in the middle of the night, and need my pacifier, and they are nice enough to give it to me. I'm not sure how long they are going to put up with it, but I do let them have a few uninterrupted nights, so they really shouldn't complain.

My shirt says "Wiggly and Giggly" and I have a little room to grow into it. Daddy says my middle name should be Wiggles, so when Mommy found this shirt, she had to get it. I'm not really giggly yet, but I'm working on it. When Mommy blows on my tummy she can usually get a couple of laughs.

I guess I'm not quite as camera shy as I once was. Mommy thinks I'm a bit of a ham, and she calls me a "silly little girl" all the time. I'm just showing her the things that Daddy taught me!!

Quick trip to Charlotte

We mad a quick trip to Charlotte on Sunday afternoon, because Grandpa was in Atlanta all weekend and he drove up to see me, I mean us. We all stayed at "Uncle" Jonathan and "Aunt" Brittney's house. (They aren't really my uncle and aunt, but Daddy and Jonathan have been really close friends since they were little, and lots of people think they are brothers.) It was really fun having Grandpa to play with, and he held me lots, but I was sad that Grandma wasn't able to be there (she had to stay home and work.)

This is Carley, Jon and Brittney's dog, checking me out. I was checking her out too. She reminds me of my Lily.

New Adventures

I got a new toy!!! Well, actually, it is a bunch of new toys...and Exersaucer!!! I sit in the middle of all these fun toys, some of which light up and play music!! I can spin around to reach them all, and bounce up and down (which has become my new favorite activity, so my new nickname is Tigger.) Mommy lets me play like this a few times a day, which she is excited about, because she then has her hands free for a few minutes.

My friend Ava

This is my friend Ava. She is the daughter of Mommy and Daddy's good friends Trip and Andrea. She was born two days after me, and lives just down the street. We went to their house the other night, and I finally got to play with Ava for a few minutes. Then it was time for bed for both of us, but they promised we could play again soon.

I voted!!!!! (with Mommy)

Well, today I'm 18 weeks old and I went with Mommy when she voted!! I was a big hit, of course, and Mommy let me wear her sticker, and I got to wear my elephant hat!!!

So here are my 18 week pictures.

Look what I can do now!

Getting to spend some quality time with Daddy on his day off.

Trying out the Jolly Jumper Grandma and Grandpa gave me. I like hanging out it, but I think I need to grow just a little more before I can really put it to good use.

Its official. I now try to put everything I grab onto in my mouth...Daddy's fingers, Mommy's hair, toys, bibs, blankets...

And I am even starting to feed myself, well sort of. I like to hold the bottle, but sometimes I end up pulling it out of Mommy or Daddy's hand (just checking their reflexes!)

What an eventful week

So here we are on Halloween. Nana and Papa came up to see me, and then we all went to have dinner with Daddy, since he had to work. I'm dressed up in my Lady Bug outfit. (Aren't I cute!!) Daddy was so glad he got to see me in my costume on my first Halloween.
So, this past week, I finally got over my cold, and passed it on to Daddy. Mommy stayed well, which is really good, because somebody had to take care of me and Daddy. I got lots of comments from people at church about how small I am (I not very chubby, but hey, look at my parents) and about how I'm strong, but never still. (I think they called me wiggly, and Daddy says he should have named me Wiggles, because I'm never still, not even when I sleep!)
I went back to the doctor for my 4 month checkup (yup, its been 4 months since my grand entrance). Doc said I'm doing well. I'm 24.5 inches and weigh 10 lbs. 2 oz. I have some dry skin, but nothing that some good lotion won't help. I got two shots, but I did much better this time and didn't turn purple from crying so hard, so that was an improvement.
On Friday, I hit another big developmental milestone. I rolled from my back to my front for the first time!! I surprised Mommy when I did it...I had just gotten a bath and Mommy was putting lotion on me on the kitchen counter when I decided it was time to make it all the way over (I had been trying for a few weeks, but couldn't quite make it all the way until yesterday!)

Smiles, smiles, smiles

Thats me, at 16 weeks I love to smile. I smile at Daddy every morning when he comes and gets me up, and I smile at Mommy during breakfast when I stop to burp. (I'm really good at that, by the way. My uncles would be proud!) I smile when Mommy plays with me, and even at the strangers we meet when Mommy takes me into town. I'm growing lots and building muscles, especially in me legs...I like to bounce around when someone holds me up with my feet on their lap! Mommy says I'm dancing, and Daddy thinks I'm going to be a gymnist or a runner!

14 Weeks

So here I am at 14 weeks. I'm growing lots and smiling all the time. I still don't have much hair, but I'm working on that. I have started to figure out my hands and how I can make them do things...like pick up toys and grab onto fingers. I have also started to suck on my fist. Yes, I often try to stick the entire thing in my mouth, but that doesn't usually work very well. I decided that individual fingers just aren't my thing right now, but all of them together, now that is something to suck on!

Mommy found these sun glasses for me on clearance, and she thinks I look pretty cool with them on. I'm not so sure about them, as I'm not used to having something stuck on my face. But I have to admit, I do look pretty cool in this picture, hanging out with my favorite toy, my Bee!

Mommy made me a hat...another hat. I guess Mommy is worried about my head getting cold, since I don't have much hair. I do like this hat though...it matched the blanket that I sleep with every night Mommy made for me, and it is pretty warm, so maybe that will be good, because it is getting colder here.
