Monkey Joe's
Today, the play group I go to went somewhere special, Monkey Joe's, an inflatable playground! It was so much fun! I got to climb and slide and bounce and laugh and then do it all over again.
See, I'm having a great time!
This was one of my favorite slides.

Popcorn!
When Mommy was growing up, she often had popcorn with her family on Sunday nights. Now it is a tradition in our family! Tonight, I was a little impatient about the popcorn, so I pulled my stool up to the cupboard and tried to reach the popcorn popper. Unfortunately, it was on the top shelf, and I couldn't reach it. Daddy came in to see what I was up to, then called for Mommy to come see.
This is what they saw!
Mommy realized it was time for popcorn, and I got to help her make it! I sure do love popcorn!

Our wonderful neighbor
Tonight was really special, because our wonderful neighbor Mr. Larry had dinner with us! Mommy and Daddy wanted to say thank you to him for watching our house and taking care of things for us while we were on our trip. Mommy cooked a yummy meal, and then Mr. Larry played with me until bedtime!
Here is Mr. Larry and Daddy helping me with my puzzle!
Mr. Larry is my friend, and I really like that he lives next door!

Snow!

2 1/2 years old!
Can you believe how big I'm getting?? Neither can Mommy and Daddy! I am growing up so much; I'm becoming a big girl. And now, well for a while now, I am completely diaper/pull-up free. I'm a big girl in big girl undies! Look out world, here I come!
My imagination and vocabulary are growing faster than Mommy and Daddy can keep up. I have quite the memory, and can repeat lots of stories about my day to Daddy, or anyone else who will listen. I love to sing songs, and often make up my own. I love listening to music, especially when I'm eating breakfast.
I'm still (slowly) working on my teeth, but my hair is really starting to grow. Mommy likes making it all curly, with ringlets!

Theme of the week and my favorite pastime!
As Mommy was going through all of the pictures from our trip, she was a little surprised at how many pictures she has of different people reading to me. (And there were a lot of times that Mommy didn't take a picture!) I really like books, and I love to have someone read them to me. Its practically the only time I will sit still for an extended period of time, but I really enjoy it.
Gigi got down on the floor to read me this book!
Both Great-Grandmas reading to me!
Here Aunt Becky was reading to me when I didn't feel very good. But I really liked that book and it made me feel better.

Heading home, for real
Once again, Mommy packed up everything and we drove to the airport in Omaha with Grandma and Grandpa. Grandma was trying to take a picture of me before we went through security, but I wouldn't stay still, I was ready to get on a big airplane!
We made it through security, again, and this time, our flight was on time. We had a short flight to Minneapolis, grabbed some lunch, and were on our final flight home! I decided it was a good time to get a little nap.
We arrived safely in Baltimore, and then we had to go find our car, since Mommy and Daddy weren't too sure about where we left it, remember! Once we found the bus we needed and got on, the driver called ahead and found out exactly where our car was parked. He stopped at the gate to get the keys and then drove us right to our car! Mommy and Daddy were relieved that our car was in the same parking lot we had left it, and it looked totally fine.
Once all of our stuff was loaded in, we headed for home. After Daddy paid to get out of the parking lot, Mommy figured it up, and except for the extra day due to not coming home yesterday, we paid about the same price we would have paid in the airport long term parking, and we wouldn't have been driven right to our car. Mommy said that we might use this parking lot again some time!
After the drive home, it was so nice to be in our house again, and I was so happy to see and play with my toys, especially my new ones. Visiting family is fun, but it is nice to be home!

Leaving, on a jet plane...or maybe not
So, we were supposed to fly home today. Supposed to, but, it didn't happen. Mommy got everything packed up, we drove to the airport in Omaha with Grandma and Grandpa, grabbed some lunch, said goodbye, made it through security, and then found out our flight was delayed by more than an hour due to a lack of necessary airline personnel for the incoming flight. That delay was going to cause us to miss our connecting flight and not make it back to Baltimore tonight.
So after meeting back up with Grandma and Grandpa, waiting in line to get rebooked on another flight (for tomorrow morning) and finally figuring out it will be easier to drive back to Paullina for the night, that is what we did. So we made it back to Nick and Becky's house. Now it is time to crash before getting up early in the morning to try once again to go home.
I'll keep you posted.
