Look at me go!

So here is a video of me walking. I'm still a little uneasy, but I'm getting better every day.

And here are a couple of pictures too!

My new favorite place to play!

Mommy has designated this as MY cabinet, and put a few toys in there for me, so that I won't keep getting into all of the other cabinets (yeah right) and so that I will have something to play with while Mommy is cooking. I really like my cabinet, and have pulled the toys (a bunch of cookie cutters, and big bowl, some Gerber Puffs) out and played with them, but today, I went in!

Yes, I crawled right up in there and was playing. It is so great, because I fit inside just right, and now I am out of Mommy's way!

And yes, I do think that I am pretty special! Not to mention down right adorable. (it doesn't hurt that Mommy and Daddy tell me that all the time!)

Pool time

Once I got comfortable being in the water, I started talking up a storm. I really do well playing independently, as long as Mommy is close by.

I'm OK with my pool!

As you can see, I did much better with a smaller amount of water today. True, I still couldn't drink all of this water, but it was a lot warmer and a lot shallower, and a lot quieter than Grandma and Grandpa's pool. I did hold onto the edge for the first ten minutes or so, and Mommy was sitting right next to me!

But soon enough my antics started! I like my hat, do you?

I was really having fun, and even got some water on my head from trying to put my cups on top of my head. (Mommy also helped get me wet, but that's OK, it felt good.)

Yes, I know, rubber duckies are for the bathtub, but Mommy wanted something familiar in the pool for me, so that I wouldn't be so afraid. And I guess it worked!

Silly Daddy and BIG NEWS!!!

Daddy has been cheering for the Carolina Hurricanes in the Stanley Cup finals the last few weeks, and he wanted me to wear his hat and cheer too. But I don't really understand hockey quite yet, and the games last way past my bedtime. But I am cute in the hat!

Drum roll please.....I took my FIRST STEPS this morning!! That's right, I am officially a walker! After Mommy took that picture of me this morning, I crawled over to her, and then walked back to Daddy! They were so excited, and they tried to get me to do it again, which I did, once, and then I was done. (Mommy said that she was really glad that Daddy was home and got to see my very first steps!) Look out Mommy, because soon you won't be able to keep up with me!

Fun with Daddy and another milestone!

I really love my Daddy! We have so much fun playing together. (Mommy says that is because Daddy is still a kid at heart.) I like to bang my head up against Daddy's head, or Mommy's, or Lily.

Daddy is really fun to crawl over. He makes a good obstacle course. Sometimes I'll just crawl back and forth over his legs, just for the fun of it. (I crawl over Mommy's legs sometimes too.)

Daddy is also really fun to crawl under! I like crawling under just about anything I can...Daddy, my music table, Lily when she is standing still, my changing table.

And I reached a new milestone this week...I can now climb the stairs!! The only stairs we have are the ones down to the basement, and I don't go down there very often, so I probably could have figured out how to climb them sooner, but I can do it now! Mommy tried to get me to go down the stairs, but I'm not quite ready for that.

Picking Strawberries...

...well, actually, I just got to watch Mommy and Daddy from the comfort of my stroller! I'm not exactly sure what those big red things were, but Mommy was sure excited about them.

They feel kinda funny, and turned my finger red, but Mommy wouldn't let me eat any. (My doctor said that I might have an elevated risk of allergy to them, so this was the extent of my strawberry experience.) Maybe next year I can help pick them, and eat a few too!

I love my new car!

This is my new car and it is my new favorite toy. Grandma and Grandpa let me take it home, because I played with it so much when I was at their house. It came with two little people that ride inside. And the best part is, the car is purple!

Everyone wants a picture with me...

So before I left, Grandpa and Grandma wanted pictures with me, in the outfit Grandma made of course!

I sure am adorable!

A three generation picture!

And a close-up of me and Mommy. (Mommy wanted to take a few pictures of the two of us, since she is usually the one taking the pictures, we don't have very many together.)

Look at all these toy!

Grandma and Grandpa wanted to make sure I was spoiled while I was at their house, so they got me lots of really fun toys to play with. And they even got some really good deals on them, by hitting yard sales!

I also really like cruising around the coffee table! It is the perfect height for me to put my toys on and walk around.

Speaking of walking, no I'm not quite there yet. Daddy thought I might take my first steps or get my first tooth this week, but so far, neither has happened.

Not a fan!!!

So my first experience with a pool was not a pleasant one. As you can see, even sitting in my bathtub in the pool was not making me happy. Mommy thinks the water was too cold, the waterfall was too loud, and she was too far away for me to like the pool. I think that there is just way more water than I can drink in that pool, and it was cold, so I just didn't want anything to do with it!

On a positive note, I do look pretty cute in my suit!

Enjoying Arizonia and I'm 44 weeks!

Mommy and Grandma thought it would be fun to take my 44 week pictures on the patio. Its hot here, but at least they let me sit in the shade, and I have my cute hat on! (Thanks Cousin Lara!)

I know I'm too cute for words!

Well, let me think....wait, I bet I can come up with a lot of words to describe how cute I am! (I just can't say them yet.)

Look at me...I'm flying!!

That's right, I'm traveling again. Mommy and I are in AZ this week to see Grandma and Grandpa! I was having fun playing on the plane on the way there. We were lucky to have a seat next to Mommy that was empty!

I like to see what is going on in the world, even from 30,000 ft!

So Grandpa is a little disappointed, because I'm not a huge fan of him so far. (I have a good dose of stranger anxiety, especially with guys.) Plus, first thing in the morning, I'm just not a big fan of anyone but Mommy, because she's got my breakfast!!

And speaking of morning, I have not yet adjusted to the 3 hour time change, so the last few mornings have been a little rough on Mommy. (For some reason she doesn't like getting up when the clock says 4:15. My body said it was time to get up, so why didn't hers?)
