Me and Aunt Lindsay

Today I got to go with Mommy to Aunt Anna's bridal shower. At first I was very shy, being in a new place with lots of new people, after I just woke up from my nap. It took me a little while to warm up, but I did. Here I am, sitting with Aunt Lindsay while Aunt Anna opened her gifts.

And here I am after I decided I was ready to take on the room, and I sure did! Mommy didn't get pictures of me playing with a couple of balloons, running around the room, and making lots of new friends.

(Mommy says that this pictures shows just how much I'm like my daddy!)

Adventures at the park

After we got home from our shopping trip, we went to the park! Mommy took me once last week for a few minutes and I really liked it, so we went back with Daddy (and Lily too, because some people were looking at our house). I took Daddy by the hand and showed him where we needed to go.

Daddy helped me at the top of the slide, and Mommy helped at the bottom. I really like slides!!!!

I had a good time crawling through the tunnels too!

Lily saw how much fun I was having, and she decided to join me.
I really like the playground at the park! Slides are a lot of fun, and so is crawling through the tunnels. But I don't like swings. I am terrified of them. Mommy tried to swing with me, and I wouldn't have anything to do with it! I'd rather play on the slides.

Baby's got a new pair of shoes!

Yesterday Mommy and Daddy took me shopping! They bought me a dresser, some new bowls (they have a suction bottom so that I can't tip the bowl over, ha ha ha) and best of all, some new shoes. But these aren't just any shoes, they happen to be my first pair of tennis shoes (and they are purple)! Mommy realized that the shoes I have been wearing don't have any more room in them, so it is time. I sure am growing fast, and now with my new shoes, I'll be able to run fast too!
We also got to eat lunch with Nana and Papa, which was really fun. They even helped me pick out my new shoes!

Silly sounds of Savannah

Yesterday Mommy took me outside to play, to burn off some energy, because I always seem to have way more than she does. Mommy took this video so you can hear some of the fun noises that I make (this is just a small sample) and so you can see how I run!

I found Daddy's sunglasses and was trying to wear them, but I couldn't get them on quite right.

Still trying...they are closer to my face at least!

Today Mommy let me try on her hat, and I kinda liked it!
And don't I sure look cute!

Playing with Ava

My friend Ava came over last night. Mommy and Daddy had a good time talking to her parents while we all ate dinner, and then Ava and I got to play! We are interacting more as we play, but I seem to play a little rougher than Ava is used too, so I need to learn how to be more gentle. (Mommy thinks it's that I am used to Lily, who knocks me down all the time.) Daddy says I need to learn to share too, because I really don't like it when Ava, or anyone else plays with my toys, or any toy that I want to play with!

And here I am, sitting so pretty in my chair. It has taken some time, but I have finally learned how to sit down in it correctly! And now I love to sit in it (and push it around the house)!

Look, you can see my teeth again!

Teeth!

I've had two teeth for a few weeks now, but Mommy finally got a picture of them! I don't like to sit still, so it is hard for Mommy to get a picture of me that isn't blurry, and that I have my mouth open!

Mommy decided to take monthly pictures of me with my zebra, this one just happened to be a little late. But as you can see, I am growing! I've learned to do lots of new things too! I point to things that I want, and I can sort different shapes. I do all the circles together, and all the squares together, and all the triangles together! I started walking backwards last week, and just today I started running! (We went to a park and there was a lot of people and a lot of wide open space, and I took advantage of the space so that I could see the people!

Yes, I smile and laugh all the time. I don't have a lot of words yet, but I talk all the time, and I'm usually pretty loud. Daddy has told me quite a few times to "use your inside voice," but I'm not really sure what that means. Mommy just says shhh, and that usually works for a few minutes. I love to say ut-oh. I say it when I drop something, or when something falls, but I say it a lot of other times too, just because I can!

And it's official, the house is for sale!!!

Mommy and Daddy came home Sunday afternoon, and boy was I sure glad to see Daddy!! (It was good to see Mommy too.) I really missed my Daddy! I ran to him and didn't want to let him go. He handed me to Mommy and I gave her a quick hug, but then I went back to Daddy! (Yes, I am a Daddy's girl, and proud of it!!!)

Yesterday afternoon, Nana and Papa took me to the mall and we walked around (well, I rode in my stroller). When we went past the store were Daddy works, I recognized it (Because Mommy takes me to see Daddy at work sometimes) and I started calling out for him, "Dada, Dada, Dada, Dada...." I thought we were going to see him, but we didn't stop. I was disappointed.

On Monday, the really nice Realtor came by and Mommy and Daddy filled out a bunch of papers. On Tuesday, some guys came and put the new carpet in the basement! (They showed up right before I went down for my nap, and you know what, I fell asleep with out any problem, even though they were making lots of noise. And I slept my usual 2 hours, even though they continued to make a lot of noise!!)

On Wednesday, Mommy started packing and the Realtor came back and took a bunch of pictures of our house, and she put a sign up in the yard. So it is official, the house is for sale. (You can look it up online, the MLS # is 42166.)

Thursday, Mommy packed a little and went and got a hair cut. (I'll try to get the camera and take a picture of her so you can see how pretty she looks!)

Friday, Mommy freaked out a bit. The Realtor called while I was napping, asking if it would be OK to do a showing later that afternoon. Mommy felt like there was a lot she still needed to clean and straighten, but didn't what to put off a showing. Daddy came home for a little bit to help her, and then I went to a friend's house for a couple of hours, so that Mommy could clean, and only have to worry about getting Lily out of the house while the people came to look.

Today, we had another yard sale, and it was pretty successful! I was a big hit to many of the people who stopped by! (Mommy puts me in the play pen under the big umbrella outside with her, because Daddy has to work.) The rest of the afternoon, we just relaxed a bit and I got to play with a lot more space in the living room! (Mommy sold the papasan chair that took up quite a bit of room.) Wow, what a week.

And the big new is....

...no, Mommy isn't pregnant.

We are moving to Hagerstown, MD!!! We went there last weekend so that Daddy could interview with Bitner-Henry Insurance, and they offered him a great position! Mommy and Daddy are really excited, but I'm not really sure what it all means. Mommy and Daddy sure have been busy this week though.

They have been painting and cleaning and organizing, mostly after I have gone to bed. New carpet for the basement is coming, so they won't let me play down there, because they pulled the old stuff up already. All of this, so that we can sell the house, because we are leaving Danville. I'm sad, and so are Mommy and Daddy, because we have a lot of great friends here. But we will start a new adventure in a new place soon!

Mommy and Daddy are actually in Hagerstown right now. They wanted a chance to celebrate their 7th anniversary, and are looking for a new place for us to live. Nana and Papa are here with me and Lily, and we are having a great time!!!

Big week!

So we have had a very busy, exciting, and momentous week. Mommy has been too busy to even get the camera out, so you know things have been crazy. It all started Sunday morning when we loaded up the car and took off on a quick overnight road trip to Hagerstown, MD. I slept for 3 of the 5 hours (driving time) it took to get there, so Mommy and Daddy were very relieved. After we checked into our hotel, I finally got some time to run around and burn off a little of the energy that I had stored up from such a long nap. And I got to see 4 deer (two of which were babies that still had spots) and a huge rabbit in the wheat field next to our hotel. (We could see them all from our window!)

After I had some play time, we got back in the car, drove around town for a bit, and then went and had dinner with a really nice couple who live in Hagerstown. I was a very good girl all during dinner! I ate well, played with my crayons, and had fun watching the big group that was behind me. Daddy talked a lot, but I'm not sure what it was all about. Then we went back to the hotel, I played a little more, and then went to bed! (Mommy and Daddy were so proud of me for sleeping so well all night, even though I had a really good nap and I was in a strange place and Mommy and Daddy were in the same room, but I knew it was time to get some sleep!)

The next morning, Mommy and I dropped Daddy off at some office, and then went back to the hotel. Mommy took me to the indoor pool. I hadn't been in a pool like that since I was at Grandma and Grandpa's house in AZ and I didn't really like there pool. I wasn't so sure about this one. But I liked sitting on the edge and dangling my feet in, and I was OK standing on the first step, but when Mommy tried to get me to sit down, I wasn't having it!! Since she was already in the pool, she picked me up and brought me in too! I hung on tight, and then realized that it was kinda fun feeling the water moving around me. Mommy and I played in the pool for a little while, and I finally started to feel a little more comfortable.

We went back to our room, finished packing up, Mommy fed me, and then it was our chance to go explore the town. The only problem was, I didn't make it more than 5 minutes after we left the hotel before I fell asleep! (I guess swimming really took it out of me!) So Mommy drove around exploring a bit while I got a nice nap. Daddy called and said he was finished with his meeting, so we went and picked him up. Then we drove around a bit more, so that I could finish my nap, until Mommy spotted Olive Garden. She said that she wanted to have lunch there, so they woke me up to take me to OG for the first time!

After Mommy and Daddy ate, it was time for me to eat, and then we got back on the road headed home. I was not looking forward to being in my car seat for another 5 hours, and I let Mommy and Daddy know that I wasn't having a good time for 3 hours!! (They kept giving me my paci, in hopes that I would go to sleep, and I just kept throwing it!! This happened over and over. They were a little slow to realize that I didn't really want my paci, and I definitely wasn't going to sleep!!!) We stopped to eat at Wendy's, and I got to eat french fries for the first time. They were pretty good, but I wasn't as impressed with the chicken nuggets. Finally, after we got back in the car and got a little further down the road, I gave in and fell asleep. I slept the rest of the way home, and then Mommy put me right to bed and I slept all night. All that fussing sure did make me tired!

And on Tuesday afternoon, Mommy finally figured out why I had been so fussy...I popped my first tooth!!!!!!!!! Then, I was fussy most of the rest of the week, and this morning, after our yard sale, Mommy discovered that I had popped another tooth!!! So I now have my two bottom teeth!!!!! (And the yard sale turned out pretty well too!)
